Maryland High School Basketball - Catoctin fells South Carroll

Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD), 54-42 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Catoctin upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Cougars host Clear Spring (Clear Spring, MD) to play the Blazers in a Freelance bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Blazers go into the bout with a record of 2-12.
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Century Knights (Sykesville, MD) in a Carroll County bout, on Tuesday, February 7. South Carroll will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 41-32 non-league win over C. Milton Wright (Bel Air, MD).
