In Monday's league outing, the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals (Garner, IA) basketball squad beat the visiting Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA), by a margin of 50-32.

The Cardinals (7-13) will now prepare for their outing against Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA). The Eagles go into the North Central match with a 1-16 record. In their last match, Eagle Grove lost by North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA), 45-34, in a league match.
