The Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Gilbert Tigers to 37 in the Go-Hawks non-league victory on Monday.

The Go-Hawks now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Decorah-North Winneshiek for a Northeast Iowa contest on Friday, February 10. Waverly-Shell Rock will battle a Vikings team coming off a 61-42 league win over Waukon (Waukon, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 17-2.

The Tigers (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Boone (Boone, IA). The Toreadors come into the Raccoon River contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Boone prevailed over Carroll (Carroll, IA), 40-36, in a league contest.
