The Towanda Black Knights basketball team (Towanda, PA), dropped 44-36 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA)
The Spartans now possess a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southern Columbia Area for a Heartland III battle on Friday, February 10. Hughesville will confront a Tigers team coming off a 52-29 non-league loss to Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 9-9.
The Black Knights (11-5) will now prepare for their battle against Athens (Athens, PA). The Wildcats come into the Northern Tier - Large battle with a 13-6 record. In their last battle, Athens dropped by Troy (Troy, PA), 44-31, in a league battle.
