The Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), 61-55 in Monday's non-league test.
The Bulldogs (22-8) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln (Lincoln, IL). The Railsplitters go into the Apollo test with a 29-0 record. In their last test, Lincoln got by Taylorville (Taylorville, IL), 76-47, in a league test.
The Pioneers now own a 10-19 record. They play next when they host Lanphier for a Central State Eight test on Tuesday, February 7. Normal University will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 37-23 league loss to Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Lions record now stands at 2-22.
