Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Fairfield Rebels (New Fairfield, CT), 45-22 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pomperaug upgrades its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Joel Barlow (Redding, CT) to play the Falcons in a Southwest - Colonial bout on Thursday, February 9. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 5-13. Joel Barlow lost 39-21 in their recent non-league bout against Newtown (Newtown, CT)

Next up, the Rebels play the Brookfield Bobcats (Brookfield, CT) in a Southwest - Patriot bout, on Thursday, February 9. New Fairfield will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 66-60 league win over Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT).
