The Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) basketball knocked off the host Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM), 40-31 in Monday's non-league test.
The Wolverines (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Clayton (Clayton, NM). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league test with a 0-3 record.
The Buffaloes now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Fort Sumner for a non-league test on Thursday, February 9.
