Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals (Saginaw, MI) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Akron-Fairgrove Vikings (Fairgrove, MI), 66-48 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Michigan Lutheran Seminary improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Ithaca (Ithaca, MI) to confront the Yellowjackets in a Tri-Valley - Blue challenge on Friday, February 9. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Ithaca won 65-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Hill-McCloy (Montrose, MI)

Next up, the Vikings confront the All Saints Central Cougars (Bay City, MI) in a North Central Thumb challenge, on Friday, February 9. Akron-Fairgrove will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 94-36 league win over Caseville (Caseville, MI).
