The Hawthorne Bears basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Bogota Buccaneers to 42 in the Bears non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bears now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hawthorne Christian for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8. Hawthorne will meet a Defenders team coming off a 66-55 non-league win over Harrison (Harrison, NJ). The Defenders record now stands at 6-15.
The Buccaneers (9-13) will now prepare for their contest against Kinnelon (Kinnelon, NJ). The Colts enter the non-league contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, Kinnelon ran past Hanover Park (East Hanover, NJ), 75-73, in a non-league contest.
