Buena Vista Demons (Buena Vista, CO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Manitou Springs Mustangs (Manitou Springs, CO), 56-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Buena Vista upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Demons travel to James Irwin (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Jaguars in a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks bout on Thursday, February 8. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 13-4. James Irwin lost 56-49 in their recent league bout against Lamar (Lamar, CO)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Rye Thunderbolts (Rye, CO) in a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks bout, on Saturday, February 10. Manitou Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Thunderbolts go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 66-34 league win over Ellicott (Calhan, CO).
