Dakota Valley Panthers (North Sioux City, SD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD), 75-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Dakota Valley upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Dell Rapids (Dell Rapids, SD) to play the Quarriers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Quarriers come into the bout with a record of 13-4. Dell Rapids won 64-39 in their recent non-league bout against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD)

Next up, the Tanagers play the Lennox Orioles (Lennox, SD) in a A Region 4 bout, on Monday, February 12. Vermillion will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Orioles come into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 48-31 league loss to Tea (Tea, SD).
