The Greenwood Gators (Bowling Green, KY) basketball nipped the visiting Daviess County Panthers (Owensboro, KY), 69-64 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Gators (11-13) will now prepare for their test against South Warren (Bowling Green, KY). The Spartans go into the District 14 test with a 10-9 record. In their last test, South Warren got by Russellville (Russellville, KY), 79-57, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 19-5 record. They play next when they travel to Apollo for a District 9 test on Friday, February 9. Daviess County will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 39-37 non-league win over Hancock County (Lewisport, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 13-11.
