Deerfield Spartans (Deerfield, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Pawnee Heights Tigers (Rozel, KS), 55-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Deerfield upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Spartans travel to Greeley County (Tribune, KS) to clash with the Jackrabbits in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Jackrabbits go into the bout with a record of 3-14. Greeley County lost 71-33 in their recent non-league bout against Syracuse (Syracuse, KS)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Ingalls Bulldogs (Ingalls, KS) in a Southern Plains-Iroquois bout, on Friday, February 9. Pawnee Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 52-47 non-league loss to Minneola (Minneola, KS).
