The Hardin County Cougars (Elizabethtown, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Dongola Demons (Dongola, IL), 74-25 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Cougars (14-10) will now prepare for their test against Meridian (Mounds, IL). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 19-8 record. In their last test, Meridian was trounced by Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau, MO), 52-42, in a non-league test.

The Demons now own a 2-21 record. They play next when they travel to Pope County for a non-league test on Thursday, February 8. Dongola will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 70-37 non-league win over Joppa-Maple Grove (Joppa, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 13-12.
