The Downers Grove South Mustangs basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Plainfield East Bengals to 55 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leyden for a West Suburban - Gold contest on Friday, February 9. Downers Grove South will meet a Eagles team coming off a 64-56 non-league loss to Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 20-6.

The Bengals (10-18) will now prepare for their contest against Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Tigers enter the SouthWest Prairie contest with a 17-9 record. In their last contest, Joliet West ran past Minooka (Minooka, IL), 58-54, in a league contest.
