East Lyme Vikings (East Lyme, CT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT), 59-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, East Lyme upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Waterford (Waterford, CT) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 7-8. Waterford lost 72-69 in their recent non-league bout against Fitch (Groton, CT)

Next up, the Whippets play the Waterford Lancers (Waterford, CT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Windham will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Lancers come into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 61-57 non-league loss to East Lyme (East Lyme, CT).
