The South Plaquemines Hurricanes basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Fisher Gators to 45 in the Hurricanes league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 12-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Houma Christian for a 2A District 9 contest on Friday, February 9. South Plaquemines will meet a Warriors team coming off a 63-45 league win over Cohen (New Orleans, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 16-9.

The Gators (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lutheran (Metairie, LA). The Gryphons enter the non-league contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, Lutheran was routed by Grand Isle (Grand Isle, LA), 56-17, in a non-league contest.
