Groveport-Madison Cruisers (Groveport, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Teays Valley Vikings (Ashville, OH), 72-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Groveport-Madison upgrades its record to 8-12 on the season. The Cruisers travel to Newark (Newark, OH) to clash with the Wildcats in a Ohio Capital - Buckeye bout on Friday, February 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 16-3. Newark won 62-45 in their recent non-league bout against Zanesville (Zanesville, OH)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Hamilton Township Rangers (Columbus, OH) in a Mid-State - Buckeye bout, on Friday, February 9. Teays Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 61-54 non-league win over Buckeye Valley (Delaware, OH).
