In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) basketball squad beat the host Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), by a margin of 56-36.
The Huskies (7-10) will now prepare for their outing against Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 14-3 record. In their last outing, Medomak Valley defeated Erskine Academy (South China, ME), 79-31, in a non-league outing.
The Hornets now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they host Oceanside for a B South outing on Thursday, February 8. Leavitt will clash with a Mariners squad coming off a 68-51 non-league win over Winslow (Winslow, ME). The Mariners record now stands at 17-0.
