In their next game, the Pirates face the Excelsior Charter Eagles (Victorville, CA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, February 7. Magnolia Science Academy will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 14-12 record after their 80-40 league loss to Silver Valley (Yermo, CA).

With the defeat, Southwestern Academy moves to 10-5 on the year.
