In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY) basketball squad felled the host Menifee County Wildcats (Frenchburg, KY), by a margin of 51-42.
The Pirates (10-11) will now prepare for their outing against Wolfe County (Campton, KY). The Wolves go into the non-league outing with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, Wolfe County was beaten by Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY), 69-45, in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 8-14 record. They play next when they travel to Fleming County for a District 61 outing on Friday, February 9. Menifee County will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 59-48 non-league win over Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 17-7.
