The South Ridge Panthers tipped the host Mesabi East Giants basketball team by a final score of 51-48 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Cromwell Cardinals (Cromwell, MN) in a A Section 7 game, on Friday, February 9. South Ridge will attempt to move on its 3-17 season record. The Cardinals enter the game with a 13-7 record after their 71-53 non-league win over Proctor (Proctor, MN).

With the defeat, Mesabi East moves to 7-11 on the year. The Giants host International Falls (International Falls, MN) to face the Broncos in a AA Section 7 game on Thursday, February 8. The Broncos enter the game with a record of 3-14. International Falls lost 95-33 in their recent league game against Mountain Iron-Buhl (Mountain Iron, MN)
