The Missouri Valley Big Reds basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting West Monona Spartans to 56 in the Big Reds non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Big Reds now sport a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stanton for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8.

The Spartans (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Kingsley-Pierson/River Valley (Kingsley, IA). The go into the non-league bout with a 11-7 record. In their last bout, Kingsley-Pierson/River Valley was edged by Northwest Webster (Manson, IA), 55-48, in a league bout.
