Soldotna Stars (Soldotna, AK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Nikiski Bulldogs (Nikiski, AK), 66-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Soldotna upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Stars travel to Colony (Palmer, AK) to clash with the Knights in a 4A Northern Lights bout on Friday, February 9. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Colony won 65-59 in their recent league bout against Wasilla (Wasilla, AK)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Homer Mariners (Homer, AK) in a 3A Peninsula bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Nikiski will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record.
