Southern Tornadoes (Racine, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host River Valley Raiders (Bidwell, OH), 45-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southern upgrades its record to 9-10 on the season. The Tornadoes host Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH) to play the Lancers in a Tri-Valley II bout on Friday, February 9. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Federal Hocking lost 81-49 in their recent non-league bout against Marietta (Marietta, OH)

Next up, the Raiders play the Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) in a Tri-Valley I bout, on Friday, February 9. River Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 80-46 non-league loss to Circleville (Circleville, OH).
