The Sayre Spartans basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Williamstown Demons to 49 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Frederick Douglass for a District 42 contest on Thursday, February 8. Sayre will battle a Broncos team coming off a 56-50 non-league loss to George Rogers Clark (Winchester, KY). The Broncos record now stands at 15-8.

The Demons (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage Academy (Florence, KY). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, Heritage Academy was defeated by Williamstown (Williamstown, KY), 75-60, in a non-league contest.
