The Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) basketball crushed the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY), 70-37 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (18-4) will now prepare for their test against Knox Central (Barbourville, KY). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 16-8 record.
The Briar Jumpers now own a 15-8 record. They play next when they host Metcalfe County for a non-league test on Friday, February 9. Somerset will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 77-68 non-league loss to Adair County (Columbia, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 9-14.
