The Waterford Wildcats basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Wellston Golden Rockets to 24 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eastern for a Tri-Valley II contest on Friday, February 9. Waterford will meet a Eagles team coming off a 76-49 league loss to Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 3-16.
The Golden Rockets (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH). The Buckeyes enter the Tri-Valley I contest with a 12-8 record. In their last contest, Nelsonville-York triumphed over Alexander (Albany, OH), 74-43, in a league contest.
