Atlee Raiders (Mechanicsville, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA), 53-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Atlee upgrades its record to 5-13 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 7-12. J.R. Tucker lost 50-9 in their recent league bout against Godwin (Richmond, VA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Highland Springs Springers (Highland Springs, VA) in a Capital bout, on Friday, February 9. Varina will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Springers come into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 66-45 non-league win over Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA).
