Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions (Lubbock, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy Eagles (Midland, TX), 38-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Christ the King Cathedral upgrades its record to 14-16 on the season. The Golden Lions travel to Abilene Christian (Abilene, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a TAPPS 2A District 1 bout on Friday, February 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Abilene Christian won 42-32 in their recent league bout against All Saints Episcopal School (Lubbock, TX)
