Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA) and the visiting De La Salle Cavalier (New Orleans, LA), saw Salmen's basketball squad knock off De La Salle by a tally of 45-33.

With the victory, Salmen improves its record to 15-15 on the campaign. The Spartans host Destrehan (Destrehan, LA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 16-8. Destrehan won 55-25 in their recent league challenge against Terrebonne (Houma, LA)

Next up, the Cavalier play the Willow Lions (New Orleans, LA) in a 4A District 9 challenge, on Thursday, February 8. De La Salle will attempt to improve on its 9-16 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 8-11 record after their 49-35 league loss to Booker T. Washington (New Orleans, LA).
