Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA) and the host Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA), saw Denham Springs's basketball squad knock off Dutchtown by a count of 56-43.

With the victory, Denham Springs upgrades its record to 25-3 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA) to play the Chipmunks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Chipmunks come into the challenge with a record of 21-6.

Next up, the Griffins play the East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) in a 5A District 5 challenge, on Friday, February 9. Dutchtown will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 17-8 record after their 62-49 league win over Live Oak (Watson, LA).
