Gordon Longhorns (Gordon, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Strawn Greyhounds (Strawn, TX), 46-34 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Gordon improves its record to 25-8 on the campaign.

Next up, the Greyhounds confront the Lingleville Cardinals (Lingleville, TX) in a 1A Region III District 19 challenge, on Friday, February 9. Strawn will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 7-16 record after their 64-30 league loss to Huckabay (Stephenville, TX).
