The Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI) basketball knocked off the host Sturgis Trojans (Sturgis, MI), 50-34 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Beavers (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Hastings (Hastings, MI). The Saxons go into the Interstate 8 test with a 3-10 record. In their last test, Hastings notched a victory over West Michigan Aviation Academy (Grand Rapids, MI), 56-10, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Niles for a Wolverine B test on Friday, February 9. Sturgis will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 61-33 league loss to Otsego (Otsego, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 1-13.
