The Roxbury Gaels held off the visiting High Point Wildcats basketball team by a tally of 40-37 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Gaels now possess a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Olive for a Northwest Jersey - National battle on Thursday, February 8. Roxbury will confront a Marauders team coming off a 60-19 league loss to Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ). The Marauders record now stands at 3-16.
The Wildcats (10-9) will now prepare for their battle against Lenape Valley (Stanhope, NJ). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 15-7 record. In their last battle, Lenape Valley edged Sussex County Tech (Sparta, NJ), 45-21, in a non-league battle.
