The Valley Lutheran Chargers basketball team scored 33 points and held the visiting Laker Lakers to 25 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Chargers now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nouvel Catholic Central for a Tri-Valley - West II contest on Friday, February 9. Valley Lutheran will battle a Panthers team coming off a 39-32 non-league loss to Carrollton (Carrollton, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 1-17.
The Lakers (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Unionville-Sebewaing (Sebewaing, MI). The Patriots enter the Greater Thumb - West contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Unionville-Sebewaing ran past Vassar (Vassar, MI), 40-24, in a league contest.
