Mauston Golden Eagles (Mauston, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host River Valley Blackhawks (Spring Green, WI), 65-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mauston upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Wautoma (Wautoma, WI) to clash with the Hornets in a South Central bout on Thursday, February 8. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 16-5. Wautoma won 51-47 in their recent non-league bout against Black Hawk (South Wayne, WI)

Next up, the Blackhawks clash with the Platteville Hillmen (Platteville, WI) in a Southwest Wisconsin bout, on Friday, February 9. River Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Hillmen go into the bout with a 15-8 record after their 63-37 non-league win over La Crosse Logan (La Crosse, WI).
