The Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host McGregor Mercuries to 61 in the Rebels non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Rebels now sport a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Two Harbors for a AA Section 7 contest on Thursday, February 8. Moose Lake/Willow River will battle a Agates team coming off a 74-42 non-league loss to Ely (Ely, MN). The Agates record now stands at 4-20.

The Mercuries (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Floodwood (Floodwood, MN). The Polar Bears come into the A Section 7 contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Floodwood prevailed over Hill City/Northland (Hill City, MN), 53-50, in a league contest.
