The Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD) basketball felled the visiting Webster Bearcats (Webster, SD), 53-37 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Great Plains Lutheran (Watertown, SD). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Great Plains Lutheran went down by Arlington (Arlington, SD), 69-45, in a non-league test.
The Bearcats now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Leola/Frederick for a non-league test on Saturday, February 10. Webster will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 53-50 non-league win over Herreid/Selby (Herreid, SD). The Titans record now stands at 13-5.
