The Rio Hondo Bobcats softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Port Isabel Tarpons to 3 in the Bobcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Rio Hondo moves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Bobcats host Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league game on Friday, February 9. The Huskies come into the game with a record of 2-0. Juarez-Lincoln won 14-3 in their recent non-league game against Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX)
In their next game, the Tarpons clash with the Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 17. Port Isabel will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
