In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Advance Hornets basketball team scored a big 78-30 triumph over the Holcomb Hornets.

The Hornets (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Dexter (Dexter, MO). The Bearcats go into the non-league contest with a 9-11 record. In their last battle, Dexter was crushed by Sikeston (Sikeston, MO), 73-42, in a non-league battle.

The Hornets now own a 2-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bernie for a non-league battle on Friday, February 7. Holcomb will meet a Mules squad coming off a 65-42 non-league win over Twin Rivers (Broseley, MO). The Mules record now stands at 12-5.
