The Bertha-Hewitt Bears basketball team scored 76 points and limited the visiting Laporte Wildcats to 29 in the Bears league triumph on Thursday.

The Bears now possess a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Wadena-Deer Creek for a non-league game on Friday, February 7. Bertha-Hewitt will play a Wolverines team coming off a 79-53 league loss to Perham (Perham, MN). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-14.

With the loss, Laporte falls to 3-18 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Nevis (Nevis, MN) to play the Tigers in a A Section 5 game on Friday, February 7. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 19-3. Nevis won 94-47 in their recent league game against Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN)
