In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Boyd County Lions basketball team scored a big 79-51 win over the East Carter Raiders.
The Lions (18-8) will now prepare for their contest against Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY). The Lions come into the non-league contest with a 13-5 record.
In their next game, the Raiders battle the Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. East Carter will attempt to better on its 6-13 season record. The Lions come into the contest with a 10-8 record after their 82-57 non-league loss to Boyd County (Ashland, KY).
