The DeSmet Bulldogs (DeSmet, SD) basketball toppled the host Elkton/Lake Benton Elks (Elkton, SD), 75-64 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Castlewood for a B Region 2 bout on Saturday, February 8. DeSmet will play a Warriors team coming off a 64-35 league win over Iroquois/Lake Preston (Iroquois, SD). The Warriors record now stands at 13-3.
With the loss, Elkton/Lake Benton falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Elks travel to Baltic (Baltic, SD) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 11. The Bulldogs enter the outing with a record of 7-7. Baltic lost 47-39 in their recent non-league outing against Lennox (Lennox, SD)
