In Thursday's non-league contest, the host New Haven Shamrocks basketball team scored a close 59-56 triumph over the Grandview Eagles.

The Shamrocks (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against St. Clair (St. Clair, MO). The Bulldogs go into the Four Rivers contest with a 7-8 record.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Herculaneum Black Cats (Herculaneum, MO) in a Jefferson County - Small contest, on Friday, February 7. Grandview will attempt to better on its 2-13 season record. The Black Cats go into the contest with a 3-13 record after their 67-55 non-league loss to Affton (St. Louis, MO).
