The Hoehne Farmers basketball team scored 75 points and limited the host La Veta Redhawks to 40 in the Farmers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Farmers now possess a 8-7 record. They play next when they host Kim/Branson for a non-league game on Friday, February 7. Hoehne will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 59-37 non-league win over Sangre de Cristo (Mosca, CO). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, La Veta falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Cheraw (Cheraw, CO) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league game on Saturday, February 8. The Wolverines go into the game with a record of 8-5. Cheraw lost 57-45 in their recent non-league game against Las Animas (Las Animas, CO)
