Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers (Lampeter, PA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lower Dauphin Falcons (Hummelstown, PA), 61-60 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lampeter-Strasburg advances its record to 16-6 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Ephrata (Ephrata, PA) to face the Mountaineers in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Mountaineers enter the match with a record of 16-7. Ephrata won 56-45 in their recent non-league match against Donegal (Mt. Joy, PA)
The Falcons now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mifflin County for a Mid-Penn - Keystone match on Saturday, February 8. Lower Dauphin will face a Huskies squad coming off a 65-47 league loss to Mechanicsburg (Mechanicsburg, PA). The Huskies record now stands at 8-11.
