In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers basketball team scored a good 67-53 triumph over the Auburn Trojans.
The Hilltoppers (16-7) will now prepare for their contest against Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL). The Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 9-17 record. In their last contest, Central A & M was toppled by Clinton (Clinton, IL), 62-32, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Trojans confront the Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 8. Auburn will attempt to better on its 15-12 season record. The Senators go into the contest with a 16-11 record after their 69-27 non-league win over Rochester (Rochester, IL).
