Kirk Academy Raiders (Grenada, MS) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Manchester Academy Mavericks (Yazoo City, MS), 41-40 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Kirk Academy advances its record to 19-8 on the year. The Raiders travel to Greenville Christian (Greenville, MS) to face the Saints in a non-league match on Friday, February 7. The Saints enter the match with a record of 0-3.
The Mavericks now own a 0-4 record.
