In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Red Lake Falls Eagles ice hockey team scored a close 5-2 victory over the Thief River Falls Prowlers.
The Eagles (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Greenway (Coleraine, MN). The Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Greenway edged Ely (Ely, MN), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Prowlers play the East Grand Forks Green Wave (East Grand Forks, MN) in a Greater Minnesota contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Thief River Falls will attempt to better on its 8-12 season record. The Green Wave go into the contest with a 9-10 record after their 3-3 league Bemidji (Bemidji, MN).
